PURPOSE:
- Designed to compensate for axial movements along the movable tubing connection with ther- mobaric changes in the length of the tubing.
DESCRIPTION APPLICATIONS:
- The principle of operation is that the compensator is installed in the tubing above the packer;
- The compensator has the possibility of mounting in tubing column in a fully closed, in the middle and fully extended position;
- When the packer is set, the screws are cut off because of the weight of the tubing column and the expansion joint moves to the working position, the body and housing move rela- tive to the rod and compensate for the axial movements of the tubing column relative to the packer.
